Qualcomm's Big Return on Investment a Boon for Vodafone and Three Customers!

Communication and chip specialist Qualcomm has recently, amid a major re-organisation and shake-up of their corporate structure, succeeded in selling off a large chunk of the L-Band spectrum. The L-Band covers the 1 to 2 GHz (gigahertz) range, and the portion being sold by Qualcomm covers 1452 to 1492 MHz (megahertz).

Intel Invests Heavily in the Drone Wars

Intel are looking to cement their place in the quickly developing drone market with a $60m cash injection into the Chinese drone manufacturer Yuneec. While it has not been revealed quite how the investment will be used, it's clear that the chip giant sees the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) space as a major source of future business for its processors.
