Office 365 Records an all Time Low in 2016

Office 365 for consumers, a Microsoft innovation, has seen a growth of 25 million subscribers since its introduction in 2013. There has been a steady growth in customer subscription over the last three years. 2016, howler, recorded a lower number of subscribers as compared to 2015. A numbers report released by Microsoft indicated that the number of subscribers to the Office 365 reduced by 62% in 2016.

A few weeks ago, Microsoft and Google announced they will no longer support sites that secure their traffic through SHA-1 certficate. This is as part of an Internet-wide campaign to dispose of weaker encryption, meaning Internet Explorer will stop displaying the lock icon on websites that depend on SHA-1 certificate.
